Rebel Wolves is reportedly looking for a Lead Writer to help develop the next chapter of the Dawnwalker saga. The claim comes from Video Games Chronicle, which reproduced a LinkedIn message attributed to narrative director Jakub Szamałek.
According to the report, Szamałek said he was seeking a Lead Writer to work with him and the narrative team on the saga’s next chapter. The corresponding Rebel Wolves job listing describes a role under the studio’s Narrative Director, including managing a team of writers, reviewing story pitches, outlines and dialogue, and helping expand the studio’s new intellectual property.
That points to narrative planning for a future Dawnwalker project, but it is not the same as a formal sequel announcement. The listing does not provide a title, platform, release window, story details or development status for the possible follow-up. It also does not explicitly establish that the role is tied to a direct second game rather than another installment within the broader universe.
The report does align with previously announced plans for the franchise. In an official Bandai Namco update, Rebel Wolves described The Blood of Dawnwalker as the first chapter of an original dark fantasy saga. The publisher said future installments would feature new stories and characters across different eras, locations and cultures, with each game designed to stand on its own without unresolved cliffhangers.
For PlayStation readers, the confirmed platform information currently applies only to the first game. The Blood of Dawnwalker is listed for PS5, alongside Xbox Series X|S and PC, with a September 3, 2026 release date. No PlayStation platform has been announced for the possible future installment.
