A guide published by Video Games Chronicle reportedly details two possible outcomes for Home Sweet Home in The Blood of Dawnwalker. One route lets players escape the dream and continue the game, while the other leads to a secret ending and the Together Forever trophy or achievement.
The guide, written by Dave Aubrey and published on September 7, says the escape route begins after the combat encounter in the village. Players must investigate the well, which allows them to leave the dream sequence and proceed with the rest of the game.
For the alternate outcome, VGC says players should avoid investigating the well and repeat the dream instead. According to the guide, speaking with Esme at the beginning of the fifth cycle ends the game, rolls the credits and awards Together Forever.
The exact loop-count wording deserves some caution. GameSpot also describes the well as the way out and connects the Together Forever ending to repeating the cycle, but its walkthrough describes reaching a fifth sequence after four earlier runs. Neither source establishes whether the difference is only phrasing or reflects a version-specific detail.
The Blood of Dawnwalker is available on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S, with the PlayStation Store listing also identifying PS5 Pro support. The official PlayStation page describes a game in which every action and inaction shapes the world around the player.
That broader design context makes Home Sweet Home’s split route notable for PS5 players, but the specific mission instructions remain attributed to VGC. The available official pages do not independently confirm the well, Esme, the five-cycle requirement or the Together Forever trophy, and VGC does not identify the platform or version used for its guide.
