Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- has reportedly made its international debut, bringing the previously Japan-only Mystery Dungeon entry to modern platforms. The report attributes the announcement to Square Enix and lists PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Switch and PC versions, alongside iOS and Android releases in Japan.
The official PlayStation Store listing confirms a PS5 version with a September 9, 2026 release date. It identifies SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. as the publisher and lists English and Japanese among the supported screen languages.
Other platform details are supported by official store pages. Xbox lists the game for Xbox Series X|S at US$24.99, while Steam lists the PC version at the same price and gives September 9, 2026 as its release date. The Steam page describes the game as the international debut of a title originally released only in Japan.
Nintendo’s US store lists a separate digital Switch 2 edition at US$24.99. Its product page specifically warns that this version is not compatible with the original Nintendo Switch, while also acknowledging that a separate Switch version exists. A direct product listing for that original-Switch edition was not located during verification.
The mobile release has a narrower confirmed footprint. The Japanese App Store lists an iPhone and iPad version at ¥3,500 with Japanese as its only supported language. Google Play lists an Android version, but the available evidence does not establish worldwide distribution. The Gematsu report explicitly describes the iOS and Android versions as available in Japan.
Square Enix’s description positions the game as the first entry in the Mystery Dungeon series and a prequel to Torneko: The Last Hope. The HD release therefore gives PlayStation players access to a historically Japan-exclusive chapter of the Dragon Quest spin-off, although regional availability and pricing may differ outside the storefronts checked here.
