Surviving Mars: Relaunched – Feeding the Future is now available on PS5, according to the official PlayStation video published on September 8, 2026. The expansion is also announced for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Feeding the Future focuses on producing food locally in the colony. The expansion adds new production and distribution buildings, crops, animals, food-related laws, and the Foodie and Coffee Enthusiast colonist traits. A Celebrity Chef and the Horticulturalist and Agronomist commanders are also part of the package.
Food service buildings continue to feed colonists, but they can now create delicacies that affect comfort, morale, health and sanity. That adds food-related effects to colony management, including changes to colonist comfort, morale, health and sanity.
Paradox Interactive lists a suggested price of US$9.99, £8.49 or €9.99. The pack is included in Surviving Mars: Relaunched – Ultimate Edition and the Prime Mission expansion pass, with owners of those products able to download it without an additional charge at launch.
The US PlayStation Store page for Surviving Mars: Relaunched identifies the game as a PS5 product and lists Feeding the Future in the Ultimate Edition. The consulted Malaysian PlayStation Store page also lists the expansion as part of the Prime Mission pass. These checks confirm the PlayStation ecosystem listings in those regions, but they do not establish immediate availability in every country.
The expansion is launching alongside a free content and quality update for Surviving Mars: Relaunched. Paradox says that update includes core system changes, a new research system, new services and additional colonist statistics, separate from the paid Feeding the Future content.
There is still a timing inconsistency across the official pages. Paradox’s expansion page displays both “Available Now” and wording that describes the content as coming on September 8, while the US Prime Mission listing still says “Releases Q3 2026.” The specific September 8 launch date is stated in the publisher’s announcement; the official PlayStation video published on September 8 says the expansion is available now on PS5. However, the supplied evidence does not establish when individual regional store pages will reflect the specific launch date.
